AUBURN -- Two vastly different local organizations are teaming up to raise money through a holiday celebration.
The Georgia Piedmont Arts Center and the Pup & Cat Co., a pet rescue, will host their "Holiday Extravaganza" on Dec. 1 in Auburn. The main focus of the event will be a silent auction of "elegantly decorated trees, wreaths and gift baskets created and donated by artists, businesses, individuals and organizations from Barrow County and the surrounding area," organizers said.
Santa will also be in attendance for picture with kids and pets, and GPAC will run a gift shop featuring decorative and gift items created by members.
Pup & Cat Co. will also have numerous rescued animals available for adoption.
The event will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. at the GPAC cottage, located at 1396 3rd Ave., Auburn. For more information or to make a donation, call 404-202-3044 or visit GeorgiaPiedmontArtsCenter.org.
