50th anniversary
Franklin J. Smith and Helen W. Smith of Lawrenceville recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Nov. 22, 1962, in Decatur.
Franklin is employed with the DeKalb Police Department. Helen is retired from DeKalb Medical and Piedmont Hospital Security.
They have three children: Kathi Bryde, married to Bruce; Franki Farr, married to Melvin; and F.J. Smith married to Nicole. They have eight grandchildren; Karlee, Kyle, and Trent Bryde, Josh, Wilson, and Noah Farr, and Nic and Cole Smith.
They celebrated with their family with a trip to Hilton Head Island.
