ROSWELL — Firefighters in suburban Atlanta are preparing to donate one of the city's fire trucks to a New York town that was devastated by Superstorm Sandy.
Roswell Fire Chief Ricky Spencer says that the bright red engine will be on its way to Island Park, N.Y., later this month.
Authorities say Island Park's volunteer fire department lost an ambulance, two vehicles and thousands of dollars in equipment when the storm slammed into the town of around 5,000 last month. The headquarters for the Island Park firefighters filled with at least 6 feet of water.
Spencer said officials typically auction unneeded fire trucks such as this one, but decided to donate it after learning of the storm victims' plight. The Roswell City Council approved the plan this week.

I am so tired of listening to Obama talk and lecture people from words that were written for him to say. When does he actually "do" something to help these folks in the NE? This is all he wants to do. He doesn't want to govern like a LEADER would do. He just likes to hop around and spread false talk to people so they remain the morons they already are. He knows they won't dig deeper into his words so he is in a win, win situation, taking advantage of the morons for four more years. When things get worse, I hope companies first layoff all those that have Obama stickers on their cars.
