Grayson senior Robert Nkemdiche, the nation's consensus No. 1 recruit, is one of 16 nominees for the U.S. Army Player of the Year Award. Six finalists will be named later for the award, which will be presented at the Jan. 4 U.S. Army Awards Dinner, part of the annual U.S. Army All-American Bowl festivities.
Nkemdiche is one of three Georgians, all defensive linemen, among the 16 nominees. The others are Dooly County's Montravius Adams and Milton's Carl Lawson.
