BUFORD -- A Thursday morning house fire in Buford will displace six residents, including three children, officials said.
Spokesman Lt. Colin Rhoden said Gwinnett County firefighters arrived at the home on the 3100 block of Seneca Farm Lane in Buford at about 10:20 a.m. Thursday, finding heavy smoke and fire on the second story and in the attic upon arrival. Crews were able to enter the home and battle the blaze from the interior.
The fire was brought under control in about 30 minutes, but not before heavy damage was sustained to a second-floor room and the attic.
"After the fire was extinguished, crews performed property conservation to preserve the undamaged contents," Rhoden said.
No injuries were reported, but officials said a total of six residents, including three children, will be displaced from the home.
The cause of the fire was listed undetermined and under investigation.
