Lawrence of Arabia Blu-ray (PG)

Disc: 4 stars out of 4
Director David Lean's epic World War I-era drama regularly appears on countless all-time Top 10 lists and for good reason. Based on the extraordinary exploits of the headstrong and supremely inspirational British soldier T.E. Lawrence (Peter O'Toole), the film is timeless with its many applications to modern organized and guerilla warfare and its technical accomplishments -- even 50 years later -- is astonishing. This new Blu-ray transfer is about as close you'll ever get to seeing it as Lean originally intended and puts practically every other home video release to shame.
