One confirmed dead in Lilburn crash March 30, 2015

Cecil Glenn Hagood, Sr., age 91 of Lilburn, GA passed away on October 29, 2012. He is survived by his son, Glenn Hagood, Jr. and wife Debbie of Lilburn, GA, grandchildren, Leslie Duda and husband, David of Albany, NY, Virginia Hathaway and husband, Mat of West Hartford, CT, Benjamin Hagood and wife, Kelli of Lawrenceville, GA and Emily Hagood of Lilburn, GA; great-grandchildren, Kate Duda, Andrew and Elizabeth Hathaway and Wesley Hagood and several nieces. Cecil was born in Marietta, GA on June 10, 1921 to William and Nellie Mae Bell Hagood. He was the youngest of five brothers and two sisters. He attended Hapeville High School where he met Ruth Chapman, who became his wife in 1941. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and fought in the South Pacific. In 1947, his only child, Cecil Glenn, Jr. was born. For forty years, he worked at Armco Steel in Conyers, GA. He served as councilman in the City of Hapeville in the mid-1950’s. In 1958, he received Christ as his Savior. His love for his Lord grew throughout the years. He joined The Gideons International and spent many years giving out Bibles wherever he went. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, November 20 at 2pm at Lilburn First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Gideons International, P.O.
