Archer senior Randall Smith signed with the Jacksonville State men's basketball program this week. He is the first Tiger basketball player in the school's young history to sign with a Division I program.
Smith, the son of Laquina and Randall Smith, has started since he was a freshman on Archer's first basketball team. He helped the Tigers to the Sweet 16 in 2010-2011 and led them to 18 victories in 2011-2012.
He has over 400 career assists and is on track to surpass 1,000 career points this season. He was a 2010-2011 All Gwinnett County Scholar-Athlete and earned All-County and All-Region 8-AAAAA as a junior.
