LAWRENCEVILLE -- Gwinnett police have asked for help tracking down a pair of suspects in an October armed robbery.
Authorities released Wednesday surveillance photos of the Oct. 10 robbery at a T-Mobile cellphone store in unincorporated Norcross. Two black male suspects entered the store at 3384 Holcomb Bridge Road at about 7:30 p.m. that day, at first "asking questions about cellphones," according to a police report.
The situation turned ugly when the two men brandished guns and forced employees into a back room. According to the report, employees were forced to dump "at least 20" cellphones into a trash bag. The two men ultimately fled out the back door and were not seen again.
Gwinnett County police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith released descriptions of the men on Wednesday, asking anyone with information to contact robbery detectives at 770-513-5300.
One suspect was described as a black male approximately 5-foot-10 and 190 to 200 pounds. He reportedly had short hair and presented a black semi-automatic handgun.
The second suspect was described as a black male approximately 5-foot-8 and 150 to 160 pounds. He wore a baseball cap, sunglasses and a hood.
