LAWRENCEVILLE -- The cause of a Lawrenceville house fire late Tuesday remained under investigation.
Gwinnett County firefighters responded to the home on the 750 block of Oak Road at about 9:10 p.m. Tuesday, finding "moderate smoke conditions" on arrival. First-arriving crews made entry and contained the blaze to its room of origin, a second-floor bedroom, fire department spokesman Capt. Tommy Rutledge said.
"The blaze caused heavy damage to the room and sent significant smoke throughout the second floor," Rutledge said.
Two occupants were assessed for minor smoke inhalation, Rutledge said, but released at the scene.
The exact cause of the fire was undetermined and under investigation.
