ATLANTA — A news anchor for Fox 5 Atlanta has been arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after authorities say she caused a wrong-way crash on a city street.
Amanda Davis, who co-anchors the evening news, was arrested early Sunday. She has since been released from jail and did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment. It was not known whether she had an attorney.
Police say Davis was driving her car around 12:20 a.m. Sunday when she failed to maintain her lane and crashed into another car. The driver of that car was treated and released from the hospital.
In a police report, the officer said Davis smelled of alcohol and refused to take a sobriety test. Authorities say possible charges include DUI, failure to maintain lane and reckless driving.

Not true - this was in USA Today: "11:36PM EST November 12. 2012 - WASHINGTON — Former CIA director David Petraeus will likely be called to testify during upcoming congressional hearings into the deadly Sept. 11 attacks on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, despite his abrupt resignation last week over an affair with his biographer, the chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee said Monday."

how is it possible that this story about a FOX NEWS Georgia anchor committing a DUI translates into Obama's luck. Please come out of the bubble.

She refused, so she will at the very least lose her license for a year, but will probably drive anyway and next time, the accident will most likely be more severe. Most of the time, the victims are hurt more than the drunks!!

Talk about a hijacked thread from Amanda Davis to David Petraeus. I know this is the 2nd DUI and maybe a 3rd but not sure.

This sad story is why I don't drink alcohol. When you do, it causes you to act stupidly and make poor decisions.

There are two types of fools in this world, those who drink and think they can drive and those who drink and drive.... she is one of those fools... FOX 5 needs to give her, her walking papers...

Why fire her?
Its not directly job related and I bet she could hire a car service during the interim.
We pass out dream-lite work permits to illegals so they can get licenses, maybe she can apply to Mexican Consulate here as Juanita.

Doesn't Georgia have a 3 and out law on the books for crimes like this? If not, we need to get one going. The 3rd time means jail time and loss of license, period.

You can attain the lofty status of habitual violator by committing three serious driving offenses within a five year period. These serious driving offenses include DUI. If you are an HV because of three DUI convictions, an HV conviction is a felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison and a fine of $1000.00. Otherwise, it is a felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison and a minimum fine of $750.00.

Her last DUI was over twenty years ago. Refusal to take a breathe test is an admission of guilt in Georgia. She will be gone from Fox5, because the baggage would be too heavy, especially if she had to read a report about a drunk driver...

I believe she was charged with DUI when she was know as Amanda Bevel, her maiden name. It's no big surprise, just typical Fox News people.

Hey Amanda try this: Drive home first, then drink.
