AUBURN -- Fire investigators believe a late-night fire Friday in the 5000 block of Pilgrim Lane in Auburn was an act of arson, officials said.
The blaze, reported at 12:36 a.m. and brought under control an hour later, destroyed a vacant trailer. No injuries were reported, said Fire Department spokesman Lt. Colin Rhoden.
"Crews extinguished the fire, but due to the advanced stage of the fire incident, the structure was completely burned to the foundation," Rhoden said.
An investigation is ongoing.
