DACULA -- To earn requirements toward a Pet Care Belt Loop and Academic Pin, local Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts will have a dog show called "Mutt and Me" at Rabbit Hill Park in Dacula on Saturday.
Prizes will be awarded to dogs in the categories such as most handsome, longest tail, floppiest ears, longest nose, shortest nose, silly trick award, the mutt that most looks like his/her owner and best dressed. The Apalachee District of Boy Scouts of America will host the event that will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will also be a hot dog cookout, goody bags for every participant and a 2K hike.
"We believe that scouting should be taught in a real environment where our scouts get hands on experience," said Apalachee District Director Denise Dreyer. "What better way to learn about pet care than to bring your pet to the event?"
