NORCROSS -- An early morning fire heavily damaged a duplex in the 5400 block of Bishops Circle in Norcross, officials said Wednesday.
Residents called 911 about 1:30 a.m. to report the apartment next door in the duplex was on fire. Firefighters arrived to find the duplex heavily involved with smoke and fire but were able to bring the blaze under control by 2 a.m., said Fire Department spokesman Lt. Colin Rhoden.
"The fire and smoke caused heavy damage to the interior structure and contents and burned through to the outside," he said.
No injuries were reported. An exact cause is under investigation.
Two adults will be displaced but will not need Red Cross assistance, Rhoden said.

I have never lived in a place (Metro Atlanta) that has so many fires in one day. I guess we have so many people from all over the world living here, they don't know how to use American appliances safely!
