NORCROSS -- A Gwinnett park is offering the public a chance to paint for a cure.
The Pinckneyville Park Community Recreation Center will host later this month a "Canvas Cafe Painting for the Cure" in partnership with the American Cancer Society. From 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Nov. 28, those interested will be able to paint their own 14-by-18-inch masterpieces while learning from "an inspirational art session with a skilled resident artist."
The event is designed to "include social engagement, education about cancer and to freely express artistic still life interpretation," officials said. Registration is required by Nov. 19 by calling 770-417-2200.
The event is $15 per person and tailored for "an adult crowd."

Pinckneyville Park is located at 4650 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. in Norcross.
