LAWRENCEVILLE -- Gwinnett police have identified the victim of a Friday slaying at an apartment complex near Duluth as 33-year-old Robert Mixon.
Mixon lived at the Menlo Creek Apartments at 4370 Satellite Blvd. where authorities found him dead of a gunshot wound about 3:40 p.m. Friday, said Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith.
"Detectives are actively investigating this case and do not believe this was a random crime," Smith said Monday.
No motive for the killing has been released, and no suspects have been identified.
The shooting reportedly happened at the complex's 200 building.
On its website, the community bills itself as the most sought-after apartment complex in the Duluth area.
