Toddler killed by gunfire in Atlanta

ATLANTA (AP) — A toddler has been killed by a shooting in Atlanta, while her infant brother is hospitalized.

Police said that the shooting happened around 1:40 a.m. Saturday when someone fired two bullets through a door in south Atlanta.

The shots hit Ty-Teyanna Motley and her 1-year-old brother, Isaiah. The victims' uncle, Charlie Howard, said both children were sleeping with their grandmother on a sofa near the door.

The girl was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The boy was shot near his spine and taken to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
