Snellville church to host TimeBank event

SNELLVILLE -- The Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities will have a launch party on Saturday for the Gwinnett Gives TimeBank.

Grace Fellowship Church in Snellville will host the event for the TimeBank, which is part of a national movement to promote equality and build caring community economies in an inclusive manner, according to a news release.

The concept is people share gifts and talents with one another, and then receive them back from someone else in the group.

The Gwinnett Gives TimeBank is a project of the Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities Real Communities initiative, which is designed to help people at the grassroots level work to improve their community.

The event will have games, giveaways, crafts and food. If you plan to attend, RSVP to gwinnettgives@gmail.com or call 678-427-7873.

The GCDD is a federally funded independent state agency.

They could work with Goodwill Industries but they're real goal is religious indoctrination.

The goal of every church is religious indoctrination. That fact should not distract from the good occasionally performed by church groups. They should be applauded for joining into the efforts of this group to provide aid to those in need. The TimeBank sounds like a great idea and I wish them success in its implementation.
