KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Georgia Force fell to the Kansas City Command 39-27 on Saturday.
The Force got a pair of touchdown passes from Kevin Eakin to C.J. Johnson in the first half, one a 9-yarder and one a 13-yarder. With 55 seconds left in the first half, Carlos Martinez connected on a 23-yard field goal that put the Force up 17-13, but the Command answered for a 23-17 lead at the half.
The Force drove down the field in the third quarter, and Eakin found Syvelle Newton for an 8-yard TD pass. Martinez later connected on a 31-yard field goal, narrowing the Command lead to three points.
The Force will return home next weekend, facing the New Orleans VooDoo.
