Perfect Sense Blu-ray (R)
Movie: 3 out of 4 Stars
Disc: 3 out of 4 Stars
Replace the detached clinical ennui of "Contagion" with the doomed romantic longing of "Titanic" and you'll get an idea of the premise for "Perfect Sense." Scientist Susan (Eva Green) and cook Michael (Ewan McGregor) are only mere moments into a relationship that will mend their bruised hearts and minds when a mysterious virus spreads over the globe. One by one, they start to lose their five senses. This improbable, but undeniably provocative premise provides the springboard for the interpretations of true love and often-fleeting physical attraction. Not perfect by a long shot, the film still manages to present an engaging and probing "what-if" scenario.
Technical specs: aspect ratio: Widescreen (1080p/2.35:1), audio: English (Dolby Digital 5.1), subtitles: English and Spanish.
