Brookwood grad Ross Heffley, a senior at Western Carolina, was named to the All-Southern Conference Baseball first team Tuesday by the league's media. A day earlier, he was a first-team selection by the SoCon coaches.
It's the second straight year that Heffley has earned first-team honors from both.
Heffley hit .350 with a team-high 78 hits in the regular season, ranking fifth in the conference in both categories. He is in the league's top 10 in six offensive categories and also holds Western Carolina's career hits record with 352.
