G-Braves infielder Sutton dealt to Pirates

DETROIT -- The Pittsburgh Pirates say they have acquired minor league infielder Drew Sutton from the Atlanta Braves for cash.

Sutton has hit .270 in 38 games with the Class AAA Gwinnett Braves.

Sutton played 86 games in the major leagues from 2009-2011 for the Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians and Boston Red Sox. He hit .315 in 54 at-bats with the Red Sox last year, then signed a minor league deal with the Braves in the offseason.
