MARIETTA (AP) -- Police are searching for three men wearing masks and police gear who tried to invade a home outside Atlanta.
Cobb County police say the trio showed up at the home in Marietta shortly before 5 a.m. Wednesday.
Police said all three men wore masks and dark clothing with police-style vests marked "police" on the back. One of the suspects was armed with a shotgun.
Cobb County police Officer Mike Bowman says the male resident at the home heard banging at the back door and heard the suspects demanding to be let in because they were police. The occupant gathered his family and led them into another room and called 911. The suspects fled without getting inside.
