Mattie's Call issued for local woman

BUFORD -- Police are seeking the public's help in finding a young woman who left her Cast Bent Way residence Friday night without notifying her parents.

Christine Joyce Park is a 21-year-old with special needs. Her parents said she has the mental capacity of an 8- to 10-year-old child.

She is described as an Asian female with shoulder length hair, about five feet two-inches tall and weighs 112 pounds. She was last seen wearing navy blue pants and a red shirt.

Her parents believe she may have changed into her favorite clothes, which they described as a white knee-length skirt with navy blue dots or a zig-zag pattern and black socks with blue stripes. She was also carrying a blue Timberland backpack.

At this time, it is not believed that foul play is involved in the woman's disappearance.

Anyone who comes into contact with her should call the Gwinnett County Police Department or call 911.

Established by the Georgia General Assembly in 2006, Mattie's Call is an emergency missing alert for disabled or elderly persons. The alert is an investigative tool that can only be activated by a local law enforcement agency.
