Three Dacula baseball players -- Michael Barnes and brothers Chase and Morgan Loyd -- have signed letters of intent with college programs.
Barnes, a third baseman, signed with Piedmont College after hitting .373 this past season. The two-year starter is the son of Eric and Dana Barnes.
The Loyd twins signed with Augusta State. A torn labrum suffered in football cost Chase, who hit .360 as a junior, this past season. He is an outfielder/pitcher, as is Morgan, also a two-year starter. Morgan hit .383 and was 3-3 as a pitcher this season.
Chase and Morgan also were two-year starters in football, playing for Dacula's state quarterfinal team as seniors. They are the sons of Steve and Janice Loyd.
