NORCROSS-- Jack and Jill, Humpty Dumpty and don't forget the Three Blind Mice. You wouldn't expect these characters to appear at a Mother's Day luncheon, but House of Joy, a nonprofit organization that seeks to provide emergency housing and support to homeless and at-risk women in Gwinnett, will host an event for mothers and their little ones.
The 2nd annual "It's Your Time to Bloom" Mother's Day event will take place between noon and 2 p.m. Saturday in Graves Park, Norcross.
Founder and president of House of Joy Bobbi Pack said, "It's so positive and so encouraging."
Moms will be served dinner and dessert, in addition to hearing an inspirational message from guest speaker Pauleen McFarquhar of Free Chapel in Gainesville.
The ladies will not need to find a baby-sitter in order to attend because the kids will play while mom is away.
Storyteller Bill Moon will entertain the children with a couple of his stories and some classics.
"The mothers are going to be ministered to and their hearts are going to be at ease because their kids are going to be in sight," Pack said.
