House of Joy hosts Mother's Day event

NORCROSS-- Jack and Jill, Humpty Dumpty and don't forget the Three Blind Mice. You wouldn't expect these characters to appear at a Mother's Day luncheon, but House of Joy, a nonprofit organization that seeks to provide emergency housing and support to homeless and at-risk women in Gwinnett, will host an event for mothers and their little ones.

The 2nd annual "It's Your Time to Bloom" Mother's Day event will take place between noon and 2 p.m. Saturday in Graves Park, Norcross.

Founder and president of House of Joy Bobbi Pack said, "It's so positive and so encouraging."

Moms will be served dinner and dessert, in addition to hearing an inspirational message from guest speaker Pauleen McFarquhar of Free Chapel in Gainesville.

The ladies will not need to find a baby-sitter in order to attend because the kids will play while mom is away.

Storyteller Bill Moon will entertain the children with a couple of his stories and some classics.

"The mothers are going to be ministered to and their hearts are going to be at ease because their kids are going to be in sight," Pack said.

I'm so happy to see how Bobbi is ministering to women in need, especially in regard for their need for babysitting. What a hassle that can be for any mother! Happy Mothers Day to all of the mothers who are blooming today, and to Bobbi as she continues God's work in the community.

I met Miss Bobbi a few months ago and she is truly an inspiration. She is a wonderful servant of God that put everyone needs in front of her own. She saw the need for a shelter in Gwinnett County and has been working diligently to answer this calling. She is a dedcated woman who listens to God and is truly a blessing to this community. The mother's day event was a success and I wish Love in Action Outreach Ministries dba House of Joy all the success. I pledge my continued support! Let's do all we can to put an end to homelessness in our community!!

I have been working with Bobbi for the past five years. Not only does she have the Mother's Day Event, but she has events all through the year for women in need. She has dedicated herself to see her vision through for a much needed shelter in Gwinnett County for women. Continued support for her organization Love in Action Outreach Ministries dba House of Joy will make this shelter happen.
