Anthony Andre` Rojo, age 45, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, May 5, 2012, after a courageous fight with pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 14 years, Traci J. Rojo; daughter, Sydney Rojo; son, Garrett Rojo all of Lawrenceville, GA; mother, Loretta Burch of Charlotte, NC; father, Steve Rojo of Tampa, FL; sister, Robyn Magyar (Steve) of Charlotte, NC, sisters, Ginger Moulton (Bob), and Vicki Rojo of Tampa FL, and Rhonda Martinez (Lionel) of Odessa, FL ; brother, Steve Rojo of Tampa, FL; father & mother-in-law, Stephen and Gwen Katrenick of Bartlesville, OK, sisters-in-law Rhonda Pittman of Miami, OK, Jody Riner (Mark) of Delaware, OK, brother-in-law, Greg Katrenick (Cheryl) of Austin, TX , numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of cherished friends. Anthony Rojo was born on July 25, 1966 in Sumter, SC. He was raised in Charlotte, NC and graduated from Myers Park High School. He was a ten year veteran of the United States Air Force. During this time he served on General Schwarzkopf’s Satellite communications team during Desert Storm. He received his MBA from Winthrop University and was the current Dean of Computer Sciences at Gwinnett Technical College. He enjoyed tennis, hiking, and camping. He was a member and captain of numerous tennis teams. His wife, children, and family were his greatest joys in life. Anthony will be greatly missed by his family, many dear friends, and co-workers. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 11, 2012 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel. A Service Celebrating the Life of Anthony Rojo will be held Saturday, May 12, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. in the Auditorium of Building 700 at Gwinnett Technical College with Rev. Dr. Robert E. Powers officiating. Air Force Military Honors will be rendered at the conclusion of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Gwinnett Tech Foundation, Gwinnett Technical College, 5150 Sugarloaf Pkwy., Lawrenceville, GA 30043 (Attention: Anthony Rojo Memorial) or to the Memorial Fund for the Children of Anthony Rojo at any Wells Fargo Bank in memory of Anthony Rojo.
