Local rising seventh-, eighth- and ninth-graders have an opportunity this summer to attend one of two technical education summer camps at Grayson High Technical Education Program and Maxwell High School of Technology.
Both programs offer camp during the week of June 11-14. Registration closes on Monday.
Students who attend the Grayson High Technical Education Program can explore the following careers: commercial photography, culinary arts, digital media design/animation, engineering/robotics, music technology and TV/video production.
All programs are half-day sessions with the exception of engineering/robotics, which is a full-day program. For more information parents can visit the Grayson High Technical Education Program website at www.graysontech.org or call (770) 554-7082.
Morning sessions are offered from 8 to 11 a.m., while afternoon sessions are from noon to 3 p.m.
Career programs offered at Maxwell High School of Technology include the following: architecture drawing and design, auto collision, auto services, construction, cosmetology, culinary arts, early childhood education, electronics, Georgia Pre-K camp counseling, graphic communications and design, healthcare and law and justice.
