COLUMBUS, Ohio -- For the second straight night, wet weather got the best of the Gwinnett Braves on their Ohio trip.
The G-Braves and Columbus Clippers were tied 1-1 with the Braves batting in the top of the fourth with two outs and two on, when heavy rains in the Columbus area forced a suspension of play.
The game will be resumed from the point of suspension today with the first pitch at 5:35 at Huntington Park.
The resumed game will be a nine-inning game followed by a seven-inning game between the two teams approximately 20 minutes later.
The scheduled pitchers for Wednesday's second game in Columbus will be right-hander Eric Junge (3-1, 3.52) for the G-Braves and right-hander Zach McAllister (2-1, 3.00) for the Clippers.
Earlier in the day, the Gwinnett Braves announced that Monday night's game in Toledo, Ohio which was postponed due to rain will be made up as part of a doubleheader at Coolray Field on May 11. Both games are scheduled to last seven innings, with the first pitch of Game 1 slated for 5:05 p.m.
