MACON -- Second-year program Lanier qualified four boys for the Class AAA state meet in Jefferson next week, a year after qualifying just one athlete.
Seniors Tashad Taylor (100) and Spencer Mendoza (300 hurdles) qualified along with Ervin Martinez (3,200) and Onyx Berrios (110 hurdles).
In the girls meet, the Longhorns had two individual qualifiers and relay team for this weekend's state meet in Albany.
Senior Lavien Smith (100 hurdles), Amber Cesair (400) and the 1,600 relay team of Cesair, Marly Alcide, Taylor-Rose Gibson-Green and Jaleria Rivera.
