LAWRENCEVILLE -- The Gwinnett Neighborhood Leadership Institute graduated its 17th class of grassroots leaders on March 24, at George Pierce Park Community Center.
Participants were engaged in eight months of community leadership development training while also participating in several hands-on community improvement projects that support seniors, transportation initiatives, diversity awareness, volunteerism and single-parent families.
The graduation program featured a luncheon and included the presentation of community improvement projects.
Congressman John Lewis delivered a keynote address. The Gwinnett Coalition for Health and Human Services "is excited about the work that the graduates have contributed to the Gwinnett Community and look forward to their many years of service."
