CHICAGO -- Georgia Force wide receiver Larry Shipp was named National Guard MVP of the Week earlier this week for his performance in Week 3 of the 2012 AFL season, as voted on by league fans.
Shipp received 50 percent of the fans' votes after tying a franchise record with six receiving touchdowns, including five in the first half, during the Force's victory over Jacksonville last weekend.
Shipp notched 12 catches for 144 yards in the 69-41 rout of the defending ArenaBowl champions.
