Connor got the win and went five innings while allowing just one earned run and striking out seven. Warren came on for the two-inning save and struck out three.
Mason Colquitt was 2-for-3 at the plate with a pair of doubles and an RBI, but it was Griffin Bone's bases-loaded double that broke a 2-2 tie in the fourth that made the difference for Wesleyan (5-6, 3-2).

CARY, N.C. -- Brookwood dropped a 6-4 decision to American Heritage (Fla.) at the National High School Invitational at the USA Baseball Complex. TALLULAH FALLS -- P.J. Westbury went five strong innings on the mound and also went 2-for-3 at the plate with four RBIs as Hebron blasted Talllah Falls 15-3 in Region 8-A on Thursday. Tyler Hutch went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs for the No. 1 state-ranked Lions (12-1, 9-0).

LILBURN -- Providence gave up two unearned runs in the top of the seventh as the Stars lost 12-10 to King's Ridge in Region 5-A on Thursday. Austin Smith picked up the tough-luck loss on the mound, but went 4-for-5 at the plate with a double, an RBI and two runs scored.
Luke Henderson started the game and went four innings, allowing four earned runs while striking out four. John Bailey was 4-for-4 with a double, RBI and a run scored while Austin Loyd was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and two runs scored. Christin Stewart hit a two-run homer for the Stars.

SUWANEE -- Thomas Perry scored on a bicycle kick goal Thursday night as North Gwinnett defeated Peachtree Ridge 1-0 in Region 7-AAAAA boys soccer. North goalkeeper Logan Drew made five saves for the shutout.

Byrd, playing at No. 1 singles, won 6-2, 6-7 (4), 7-5 to clinch the win for Lanier (11-4, 8-4). Byrd trailed 5-3 in the third and deciding set before rallying for the victory.
