NEW YORK (AP) -- The frenzy over New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow has reached shoemakers Nike and Reebok.
Nike Inc. claims in a lawsuit that Reebok is using Tebow's name on Jets-related apparel without permission.
The lawsuit was filed Wednesday in federal court in Manhattan.
It seeks unspecified damages. The claims include misappropriation of publicity rights; interference with business relationships; and unjust enrichment.
The lawsuit says Reebok International introduced new products with Tebow's name after the quarterback was traded from the Denver Broncos to the Jets.
Reebok did not immediately respond to a request seeking comment.
