LILBURN -- Two teens suspected of tagging a Gwinnett high school in gang graffiti have been arrested on felony charges.

Lawrenceville police on Monday booked Daniel Clarke, of Lithonia, and D'ashely Johnson, of Norcross, both 17, on charges they spray-painted graffiti related to the "Pirus" street gang in several areas of Berkmar High School on March 16, officials said.

An unidentified juvenile has also been charged in the case.

The affected areas included a student restroom in the back of the school, outdoor trailer classrooms, along with stairwells and hallways.

Clarke and Johnson are being held without bond on charges of felony gang activity and interference with government property. They also face misdemeanor counts of criminal trespass. Neither is listed as a Gwinnett Public Schools student, a spokesperson for the district said.A state law adopted several years ago makes gang activity a felony in Georgia if it's done in furtherance of any other crime. The Pirus street gang has roots in the Compton area of Los Angeles, where the name is synonymous with being a member of the Bloods gang, according to the Street Gang Resource Center.

Make these special snow flakes paint over every fence, building, car, bus, truck and anything else that any gang or artist has painted on. Make them furnish the paint and the brushes. If they like to paint that much, let them at it. And when they're not painting, they're in their cell. Let their little gang buddies help if they want too.

They don’t look quite so tough in their big bad gangsta mug shots, do they? Hopefully they’ll be somebody’s play toy shortly. On a related note, a few local cops have had great results with stopping gang punks and smiling, shaking hands, and patting them on the back in view of their buddies. What happens next is priceless – they ALL get a free ride and a place to stay for awhile.

One of the best things that can happen to them is for them to pay for the cleanup and do it like the Military does , with a tooth brush.
