ATLANTA -- A Lawrenceville resident and former U.S. Navy seaman was sentenced to federal prison this week on child pornography charges.
Spencer Duncan, 23, was sentenced to six years, six months in prison Tuesday, following a guilty plea entered in federal court last December. According to information from the United States Attorney's Office in Atlanta, Duncan was caught when an undercover FBI agent was able to download sexually explicit images of minors from his computer.
Authorities said Duncan had created an account on a peer-to-peer file sharing network and "made his collection of child pornography available to others."
Thousands of images and dozens of videos were found during a search of his computer, officials said.
