David and Cheryl Hood of Lawreneville, announce the engagement of their daughter, Samantha Elizabeth Hood of Lawrenceville, to Jonathan Harris West of Duluth, son of Vernon and Susan West of Dunwoody.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Richard Hood of Buford, the late Daryl Hood, Virginia Seifert of Columbus, Ohio, and the late Charles Seifert. She is a graduate of Collins Hill High School and is employed with Gwinnett County Public Schools.
The future groom is the grandson of Chloris West of Alpharetta, the late Roy V. West, and Mr. and Mrs. John B. Harris Jr. of Raleigh, N.C. He is a graduate of Dunwoody High School and is employed with EMC Corportation.
The wedding is planned for March 24 at Flint Hill in Norcross.
