Radloff honored by national organization

SUWANEE -- The Gwinnett County School Board on Thursday recognized Chairwoman Louise Radloff for being selected as the 2012 National Mother of Achievement by an organization that honors women with "significant talents and community service."

Her fellow board members congratulated Radloff on the achievement.

"This is a great honor for Mrs. Radloff and a great honor for our school system," said Board Member Mary Kay Murphy.

Radloff will attend a conference in Washington D.C., where she will be honored.

American Mothers, a national organization, seeks to "honor and encourage all mothers for their community service, talents and skills by offering opportunities for recognition.

According to its website, the organization aims to "honor women by promoting, coordinating and recognizing them in the many areas of their influence with appropriate acknowledgement, appreciation and ceremony at local, state and national levels."
