John Jones
Mr. John M. Jones, age 85, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2012. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cathy Jones. He is survived by his wife of twenty-two years, Gloria Westbrooks Jones, Flowery Branch, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Christine and Hilton Jones, Lilburn, GA, Lisa and Garry Brown, Baltimore, MD and Patricia Jones Allen, Richmond, VA; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Stephanie Gray, Bel Air, MD and Randy and Loretta Jones, Richmond, VA; three step children, Tia Moody, Yolanda Stringer and Tim Westbrooks; sixteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; mother-in-law, Johnnie Mae Daniel, Buford, GA; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Julia and David Hutchins, Buford, GA, Joyce Daniel, Buford, GA and Delores Daniel, Buford, GA; brother-in-law, Ronnie Daniel, Africa; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Jones was born January 22, 1927 in McKenzie, VA. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was retired from Lucent Technologies after thirty years of service and he was also an automobile mechanic. He was a member of Poplar Hill Baptist Church in Buford, GA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Poplar Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Avery Headd officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA with military honors.
