COVINGTON -- Down 10-2 in the seventh inning, Archer's baseball team scored nine runs on five hits to come back and beat Newton County 11-10 on Wednesday. Brendan Fowler scored the game-winning run after an error by the second baseman. Curtis Terry was 4-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored for the Tigers (5-4). Brett Self was 3-for-5 with an double, triple and RBI. Tyler Meyer pitched three innings of relief to get the win.
Mill Creek 2, Collins Hill 1
HOSCHTON -- Mill Creek's Cody Pugh one-hit Collins Hill as the Hawks beat the Eagles 2-1 on Wednesday. Pugh (2-1) pitched a complete game, striking out eight and giving up one unearned run. Bryan Askew (1-1) pitched a complete game for Collins Hill, but he got the loss. Askew allowed four hits and struck out three.
Tad Newman drove in the go-ahead run for Mill Creek (4-4, 1-1) with a single in the sixth inning. Bryan Hudson was 2-for-3 and Tim Hernandez drove in the other run.
Mitch McCain had the only hit for Collins Hill (3-3-1, 1-1).
North 7, Peachtree Ridge 5
SUWANEE -- North Gwinnett came back from four runs down with a five-run rally in the fifth inning to beat Peachtree Ridge 7-5 on Wednesday. Ben Carswell and Michael Haynes (3-for-3) each had two-RBI singles in that fifth inning, while Ryan Hagan (2-for-3) knocked in a run with a double. Cole Willoughby hit a solo homer for the Bulldogs (6-3, 1-1).
Danny Parry (1-0) was the winning pitcher. He retired eight straight batters after coming in with the bases loaded and one out in the fifth inning.
Robert Sanchez and Tripp Miller each had two hits for the Lions (5-4, 1-1). Anthony Perez knocked in two runs with a single, while Donald Frew had a sacrifice fly RBI.
Norcross 11, Chattahoochee 0
JOHNS CREEK -- Jackson Williams gave up only one infield hit as Norcross shutout Chattahoochee 11-0 in six innings on Wednesday. Williams (1-1) struck out two and walked two. Tanner Maloof and Jess Ramsey each went 3-for-4 with four RBIs. Ramsey also hit a homer for the Blue Devils (3-3). Jascanel Ferreras was also 3-for-4 with two runs scored. Andrew Gray was 2-for-2, while Zack Jones and Andrew Lightle each had an RBI.
Norcross also beat Grayson 5-4 on Tuesday. Chris Raasch pitched a complete game, striking out three. Ferreras and Joseph Wilber were each 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Blue Devils. Maloof and Andrew Gray each had two hits and scored a run. Zach Shirah was 1-for-3 with a run scored.
Mountain View 11, Duluth 1
DULUTH -- Mountain View remained unbeaten with an 11-1 win over Duluth in five innings on Wednesday. Joey Bell (2-0) was the winning pitcher. He allowed one run on four hits and struck out three for the Bears (8-0, 2-0). Bell also had two hits, two runs and three RBIs. Crew Perry also had two hits and three RBIs, while Ben Utley knocked in a pair of runs on two hits. Tyler Bethune added two RBIs as well.
Parkview 12, Central 3
LAWRENCEVILLE -- Five different players had two hits as Parkview beat Central Gwinnett 12-3 on Wednesday. Jarrett Freeland, Ryan Blanton and Rob Youngblood each were 2-for-3 with two RBIs for the Panthers (5-2, 1-0). Hunter Thornton and Jack Esmonde were 2-for-3 with one RBI. Jesse Foster (2-0) allowed one hit and three runs, none of them earned, in four innings to get the win. He also struck out six. Austin Fisher allowed two hits in three innings of relief to get the save.
Providence 9, Wesleyan 3
NORCROSS -- Austin Smith and Austin Golden each hit three-run homers as Providence beat Wesleyan 9-3 on Wednesday. Smith finished with four RBIs for the Stars (5-4, 1-0). Eric Stahl was 3-for-3 with two RBIs. He also pitched 2 innings of no-hit ball in relief of starter Luke Henderson. Henderson (2-2) allowed three runs and six hits to go with four strikeouts.
Lanier 8, Monroe Area 0
MONROE -- Trenton Little pitched a shutout as Lanier beat Monroe Area 8-0 on Wednesday. Little gave up six hits and struck out five. T.J. Richardson was 3-for-3 with a two-run homer and four RBIs to pace the Longhorns' (4-3, 3-1) offense. Taylor Grant was 4-for-4 with an RBI. Stephen Rusch had two hits and scored three times, while Austin Gaskins was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
Blessed Trinity 6, GAC 5
ROSWELL -- Daino Deas had three RBIs in Greater Atlanta Christian's 6-5 loss to Blessed Trinity on Wednesday. The Spartans (6-3, 0-1) had only four hits. John LaMay was 1-for-3 with an RBI. Patrick Schultz pitched five inning and picked up the loss. He was also 1-for-2 at the plate.

SUWANEE -- Collins Hill squeaked by Peachtree Ridge 99-100 Wednesday at Collins Hill Golf Club. Ellen Win led the Eagles with a 44.
Mountain View's Magda breaks school record in win
MONROE -- Hannah Magda shot a 44 to break Mountain View's nine-hole school record on Wednesday at Providence Country Club. The Bears shot a 94 to beat Archer (99) and Central Gwinnett (128) in tri-match. Morganne Gregory shot a 49 for the Tigers, while Sarah Hutch led the Black Knights with a 64.

JOHNS CREEK -- Providence knocked off Wesleyan 175-181 on Wednesday at River Pines Golf Course. Colin Grant shot a 39 to lead the Stars.

MONROE -- Mountain View held off Archer and Central Gwinnett in a tri-match on Wednesday at Providence Country Club. Cole Parks was the low medalist on the day. He shot a 40 to lead the Bears.
