Chamber offers Shop Gwinnett discount card

LAWRENCEVILLE -- The Gwinnett Chamber is offering its members increased exposure and potential through Shop in Gwinnett, a discount card program offering exclusive discounts to consumers and financial support for local charities.

Shop in Gwinnett drives traffic directly to local businesses in the service, retail, dining and entertainment industries.

"The Gwinnett Chamber is interested in providing tailored solutions to meet the needs of our business community," said Vince DeSilva, senior vice president of membership services. "Shop in Gwinnett directly supports the retailer market, while taking into consideration the cost-conscious consumer and the local charities in need of support during this challenging economic time."

The program works by distributing cards primarily through a partnership fundraising program developed for working with local non-profits. The non-profits, or charities, receive a portion of the proceeds from each card sold.

"As a participating merchant, this program provides a single solution that minimizes marketing costs while increasing the amount of customers who come through my door," said Nancy McGill, owner of Cartridge World--Lawrenceville.

Businesses looking to enroll in the program should contact the Gwinnett Chamber at (770) 232-3000.--From staff reports
