LAWRENCEVILLE -- This weekend the Rhodes Jordan Park gym will be overrun by clothes, toys, books and, most importantly, moms.
The kind of moms that know a little bit about dealing with that kind of chaos.
The Gwinnett Moms of Multiples club, designed for parents of twins, triplets or quadruplets is holding their semi-annual consignment sale Saturday at the Rhodes Jordan Community Center Gym and President Emily Carter of Duluth enjoys it for the exposure and camaraderie."My favorite thing about the sale is getting to hang out with our members," said Carter, a mom to 3 year-old twin girls, "At each sale, I meet someone new and get a chance to talk with them about their experience in having multiples."
The sale, which is the primary fundraiser for the group, features gently used clothing, toys, books and furniture sold by the club members. Sale Co-Chair Celeste Jackson, of Loganville, joined the club in 2007 when she found out she was pregnant. Now dressing her four-year-old triplets makes being a seller and a shopper very crucial.
"I love getting to know other MOMs by volunteering for every sale and of course the great quality and prices," Jackson said.
Although hosted by the club, the sale is open to the public beginning at 9 a.m. through 2 p.m. Saturday. Shoppers can also buy a $5 guest pass at 8 a.m. on Saturday and shop early.
