DULUTH -- The Southeastern Railway Museum of Duluth, Georgia's Official Transportation History Museum, is having a 2012 photo contest exhibit to display submitted pictures.
The photos, which will be on display through the end of April, will be judged in five categories -- four of them judged by professionals and one People's Choice prize.
Winners will be announced at a reception on April 1.
Other upcoming events at the museum include Caboose Days, which is March 31-April 1
Located in Duluth, the Southeastern Railway Museum is owned and operated by the Atlanta Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society, a nonprofit organization.
The museum occupies a 35-acre site, which has been in operation since 1970. The museum features about 90 items of rolling stock including historic Pullman cars and classic steam locomotives. During the spring, summer and fall the museum is open Thursday through Saturday.
The Southeastern Railway Museum is located at 3595 Buford Highway, Duluth.
