Lyman G. “Gene” Cleghorn, age 68 of Cumming, GA died suddenly on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Barney Williams, Rev. Ted Williams and Rev. Blake Duncan will officiate. Interment will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The Family will receive friends Friday, March 9, 2012 from 4-9 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Cleghorn was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, Lucile Williams Cleghorn and J.D. Cleghorn. Infant Son, Joel Cleghorn. Gene is survived by his Son, Barry Cleghorn, Cumming. Daughter and Son In-law, Myra and Tony Mangum, Chestnut Mountain. Daughter, Jan Cleghorn. Special Companion, Linda Cleghorn, Cumming. Four Grandchildren. Sister and Brother In-law, Charlotte and Royce Duncan, Sugar Hill. Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Special Friends. Gene was born in Buford, GA and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was employed as a salesman with Mickey’s Lumber Co., Duluth and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
