SNELLVILLE -- Thanks to a group of young artists, the walls of Eastside Medical Center are now visited by dragons, princesses, kings and mermaids.
For three months, about 20 children worked on a mural at Cobble Creek Studios in Snellville, the students ages five to 10 painting their hearts out. When it was complete, the art school decided to donate it to Eastside's pediatric urgent care center for more children to enjoy.
"We were thrilled to receive such a generous and beautiful mural painted by such talented children in our community," said Eastside CEO Kim Ryan. "It's a wonderful addition to our hospital and will brighten the walls of our pediatric urgent care center."
The "Little Leonardos" art class is taught by Carla Crawmer and Elise Longnecker. Cobble Creek Studios is owned by Deborah Kepes.
