The Atlanta Falcons announced the signing of two players to exclusive rights contracts on Tuesday, including Parkview grad Michael Palmer. The club also signed reserve running back Antone Smith.
Palmer, a 6-foot-5, 252-pound tight end, has played 31 games with two starts over the past two seasons with the Falcons, who signed the Clemson product to a rookie free agent deal after the 2010 NFL Draft. He has 15 catches for 101 yards and two touchdowns in his Atlanta career, with 10 catches for 72 yards and a score coming last season.
