Hamel -- Hornbeck
Don and Nancy Hamel of Hoschton, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Rae Hamel of Hoschton, to James Robert Hornbeck of Lilburn, son of Rick and Meg Hornbeck of Lilburn.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Don and Eileen Malter of Jackson, N.J., Mary Hamel of Mount Airy, and the late Frank Hamel. She is a graduate of Parkview High School and Georgia College and State University where she received a master's degree. She is employed with the Georgia Department of Corrections.
The future groom is the grandson of Mildred Gilmer of Atlanta, Robert Hornbeck of Hyde Park, N.Y., and the late Vestalia Hornbeck. He is a graduate of Parkview High School and Georgia State University where he received a degree in business administration. He is employed with Micro Advanced Detection and Bass Pro Shop.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 12 at the Thompson House and Gardens in Bogart.
