Three found dead in vacant Lawrenceville apartment
LAWRENCEVILLE — Gwinnett Police say they were questioning three men in North Carolina in connection with their investigation of a triple homicide.
Detectives were in the Charlotte area Thursday morning to interview the men, who were pulled over after Georgia authorities put out an alert about the case to other law enforcement agencies.
Authorities say they were stopped by the North Carolina Highway Patrol around 1:15 a.m. on northbound Interstate 85 after their SUV with Virginia license plates matched the description of a vehicle sought by Gwinnett County police.
Gwinnett police Cpl. Edwin Ritter said the men stopped in North Carolina are connected to the victims but are not suspects in the homicides.
Three men were found killed Wednesday night in a duplex in the suburban Atlanta city of Lawrenceville. Police have not revealed a possible motive in the case.
