The 8U all-star softball team won three tournaments this summer, giving the Shiloh Athletic Association its first tournament champion in its 17-year history.
The Lenora Park based team in Snellville won the South Gwinnett Summer Classic, going 7-1 in the tournament and beating Buford twice for the championship.
Shiloh won its second tournament the following weekend, winning four straight games to claim the Pre Tri-County championship.
Shiloh won the Tri-County tournament by defeating host Buford 19-8 to finish 4-0 in the tourney.
Team members are Lauryn Peppers, Kennedy Broughton, Aaliyah Smith, Brianna Cox, Kiriah Lovett, Kelsie Walker, Awtum Lewis, Imani Washington, Tahjanee Phillips and Lidia Quero.

pair of tourneysThe Dacula Gold 6U Softball All-Stars won the 13th annual Summer Softball Classic at South Gwinnett Athletic Association on June 1-3 and the Tri-County Tournament at Buford City Park on June 16-23.

in sub-district tourneyThe Buford American Pee Wee baseball team battled its way to the state tournament with a runner-up finish in the district tournament.
In the championship game, Buford trailed 3-0 in the fifth inning. Buford railed to make it a 3-2 before losing to Dacula Gray.
The runner-up finish qualifies Buford for the state tournament this week in Lee County.
Team members are Brody Beal, MacKay Beverly, Harrison Bonds, Davis Church, Braden Cole, Mason Compton, Thomas DeGoey, Garrett Ladd, James Laws, Elijah Murray, Cole Taylor and Stanley Zagrodnik. The team is coached by Josh Compton, Stephen Beal and Nick Taylor.Buford wins Dixie Youth district titleThe Buford Green Pee-wee All-Stars won the championship in the Dixie Youth District 6 Tournament. The team also qualified for the Dixie Youth State Tournament that begins July 30th in Lees County.

district crownThe Dacula All-Stars Blue took home a 3-2 victory over the Buford Wolves in five innings at Rhodes Jordan Park June 15 to bring home the Peewee District Championship title.Gwinnett teams win region soccer titlesA pair of Gwinnett teams won US Youth Soccer Region III championships on June 21 in Greenville, S.C.
NASA 17 Elite won the U-13 girls division, while GSA 93 Phoenix Red won the U-19 boys division.
The teams will advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships.
GSA Phoenix 97 Red finished second in the boys U-15 division and GSA 96 Phoenix Red was second in the boys U-16 division.-- From staff reports
